I've tested this Activ Carbon and it is absolute tops. This is actually manufactured for the food and medical areas. Extremely compact and hard, barely dust, very fine pored and a fine granule. You can run it passively in a sump, just a bag that you kneed daily, or in a fluidized filter. I use it as a cure, changing it monthly and just leaving a sack in the overflow, kneeding it on occaision. I have tried it just for three days fluidized and found it equally effective for a clean-sweep effect. Great for removing medications, of course. Use less than usual. I use about 500ml for 1000l aquarium water at the most.

    Hey man.
Will this carbon clump up if run in a reactor?
I still have some of the other carbon I bought and that lasts about 3 or 4 days in the JNS reactor before it starts clumping and sinks to the bottom in the reactor.

It should last the month without clumping if you have it in the last stage of your filtration.
