    Hi guys i have a boyu tl550 i just wanted to know how long each day i should be running the uv sterilizer. at the moment its on all day and night.

    hi there, i switch mine off at 22:00 and then on again at 7am....Works for me

    u can run it 24/7 and thing that is living and flowing in the water column is not being beneficial, so let it get nuked

    That uv works but not really. It will work for a few months then you will get algae covering the uv eye(if thats what you call it) or the light might even stop working and on the uv in the boyu its glued together(its one piece) Ive taken mine out months ago.     its called a uvc sterilamp,
    uv -5
    12v - 50 Hz
    650 mA
    IPX4 (inverter)
    IPX8 lamp.

    thats all thats written on it,if I remember correctly. Ill take a photo later this afternoon as I dont use mine anymore so itll be easy.
