    Hi guys.

Just wanted advice on uv led.

Wanted to add to my current setup, but could only source a 390-395 uv led.

Is this spectrum ok? Or will I kill my tank cause spectrum too low?

what do you want to do with this unit? UV as in sterilizer?
Or part of your normal lightning setup?

Want to use it as part of the normal light setup,

As would assume it would bring out the colors when moon lights were on

390 - 395nm is still in UV A spectrum and should be fine. Just don't over do it, you could bleach out all your coral. You can't see that spectrum range so be careful

LEDGROUPBUY has a 405nm and 430nm I've used a mix of both of them on my last tank. Ran them at 700ma and at 40% and got good results

    Thanks for the info.

Was actually looking for 405 nm buy I can only find it online. Is there any shop in cape town that's sells these Led. As just want 2, but no point in paying R60+ for shipping on something that cost less

Just need 2? I've got some spare 420 - 425nm you can have for free if you want. Left overs from my last build. They from LEDGROUPBUY

Be careful with uv and violate, very easy to bleach corals as you don't see the light as bright
