No, don't take it out yet, it looks ok, just deflated maybe. Although your tank does look a bit new, what are your parameters? If it is a new tank then the anemone may be in trouble. We will need more info before we can advise. How long have you had the anemone? How old is your tank? What water parameters can you give us?

Do you mean the sump? What was it filled up with? Salt water, tap water or RO water? Is there any way you can test your salinity?

Ok, so there's been a sudden drop in Salinity, I assume you used to keep your tank at about 1.025/1.026?

Ok, your anemone is stressed and that is why it looks the way it does. I would advise not to do anything drastic, another sudden increase or decrease in a parameter may cause more harm. I would just leave the tank alone and let evaporation get rid of the excess water (if you haven't removed any water yet), keep measuring your salinity every day or two until it gets back to where it was, hopefully your anemone will pull through, it honestly doesn't look too bad, yes it's deflated but the tentacles still look ok and it's not bleached, yet, it's difficult to be sure but hopefully given time it will recover as the salinity gradually increases back to normal levels again. They can handle a little bit of stress so don't give up on it yet.

I have been posting because I am trying to get the 20 posts so that i can advertise Skimz sm121 for sale ! Don't get me wrong , I am not trying to use the forums for advertising , i have really got a lot of useful information from the forums and really appreciate it. I have kept tropical fish for 24 years and marine for 2 years.

I have a 400l Tropical tank, A 750l Reef Tank with a 300l sump as well as a RSM 250 which is a predator tank with a Picasso Trigger baby , Green Wrasse , Moon Wrasse , Niger Trigger , Blue Spotted Puffer , Dwarf Lionfish , Yellow Tail Baby Face puffer and a Leopard Cowrie Snail. I am new to this forum thing and not to sure how to start my own tank thread.

We have to post limit to prevent people from signing up for the sole purpose of selling. Also spamming to the 20 posts is against the rules, especially when bumping up three year old threads.
Rather start a proper thread and you will reach your post count in no time.
