    urchin free to good home - collect in pretoria only

    it's causing havoc in my tank - too small tank eish!

    im in PTA, interested. what can one keep with an urchin and what does it eat?

    i think it eats vegetable matter (algae, nori etc.)

    the problem i have is it's too big for my tank & it walks all over my corals - not all my corals are stuck to rocks so it bumps them off

    ah okay. is it pretty hardy. my nitrates are at about 40ppm. coming down slowly though. but yeah ill take the urchin. where in Pta u at?

    hey punk what kind of urchin is it?

    urchins is really great when all of your rocks are covered in coraline algae, they open the pores of the rock, that was covered by coraline algae.

    hey lanzo, it's a normal black one that i bought from fragman whne he sold he's setup, it was cool at first but when it clambered all over my corals & knocked my frags around i didn't like it very much :p

    yip, if urchins get big they tend to squeez trough LR( it happened to me once, the bugger bumped a rock and it fell on my leather), thats kaka
