    Hi

I got a purple spikey urchin (Do not know the real name) from the coast. I have Reefsnow, which I give to the anemone and flowery things growing on my Live Rock. Can I give the same to the urchin?

yes and no, most urchins require coraline or specific foods, some are detritus eaters.
you will need to post a pic of him so we can identify him and supply the correct food

Urchins usually eat algae types like coraline algae. Google urchin and see if you can match a pic to yours for the specific requirements. I don't have experience with the local ones.

I also have one of these. It grazes on GHA, but I hand feed it (and my other Urchin) a piece of Nori every now and again. Beware though - These are like bulldozers and easily move your rocks around, not because they're trying to break anything, but the are nocturnal and look for the dark spots when the light comes on.
