I Bought a Upside down jelly fish for my (500l) reef tank...

all my livestock were very healthy up till yesterday... and then 3 of my schimps died...

Since i put the jelly in it seems like all my fish are poisoned, is this possible?

But having said that, one of my clams died 1 day prior to that... i checked for ammonia but n very light trace (normal), not enough to kill any livestock...

PLEASE HELP - I am going to lose my livestock, if i dont react soon...

    Please give me some help...

I am uploading a pic of the jellyfish!

sounds like its prob the jelly doing something drastic to the water, and with the clam having just died days before you introduced it, its probably reacting to raised nitrogen levels, be it NO2 or NO3 which it is intollarant towards. Perhaps its releasing a chemical defence, but all that is guess work at best.

are you running Carbon? if you do not i would highly suggest fresh carbon in a fluidised reactor as soon as possible. Carbon in a bag will help, but i think you realy need a reactor.

also it cant be said often enough so i'll just repeat what achillies said 'RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY'

    1. Remove the jellyfish to a seperate aquarium,
    2. Do a partial to 50% waterchange and run carbon in the event of toxic shock..
    3. Plan another partial to 50% waterchange for around 3 days after the first one.. and assess and conduct if necessary.
    4. Make use of a product such as stability to assist in breaking down the ammonia levels.. apply after the waterchange.
    5. Skim slightly wet putting of the skimmer fo only an hour after the "stability" or simular product addition..
