Hi Guys

I'm sure there are a few people out there that have spent more time thinking about this than I have. Seems like it's not an easy issue to solve?

Will this UPS the PG-1000-3 be sufficient to run my system for 4-6hours?

1x100ah battery
1000VA
600W
R4,800
Inverex PG series Inverter specifications

For

OR2500 return pump 38watts
Heater Aquamedic 300watt
Lights 2x24watts call it 95watt LED lights
Skimmer 8watt
Jeboa RW4 15watt

Total max load: 456watt

Not sure I even want to spend that much but somethings I want to consider for long term.

On your total wattage ad if they were to run constantly then you will only get 2,5 hours out of the one battery if you drain it completely which is not advisable.

Drop the heater and you can get around 6,5 hours if you drain the battery completely.

Seems a bit expensive. Should be around R3k for that inverter and battery.

Yeah probably worth shopping around, but have to make sure it's like for like. I've seen a few with only a 65ah battery for that price. R3-3500

Geewiz had the inverex inverter for R1452 and Zultech has a 102ah battery R1430. My inverter packed up and was replaced with the inverex. Happy so far but only run the return with it.
