unicorn tangs

    Does anybody know what unicorn tangs (25CM) usualy retail for?

    if u mean one that is 25cm in size then i saw them from 1500 - 2000

    sheeesh? i wouldnt pay a cent for them. they are so thick in EL during the season its scary. plus the butt ugly grey colour

    Regis it largley depends on which species you are talking about as the price will differ for example Naso Unicornus will be on the cheap side when a juv but if you can find one that is adult and has a horn then it will be a premium priced fish. The same will not apply for the others such as vlamingi orLitaratus.


    @ Bruce what are you smoking man they are awsome fish wait till Flappy shows pics of my old one that he has now in his new tank they are majestic fish man ;)

    I just saw your pics of those fish they are awsome and sould be snapped up by a collecter in an instant. Well done for raising such stunning fish :thumbup:

    Trev,Will post pics when my tank is set up.
    That boy has tripled in size and the horn is now at least 1cm long,
    He is looking great
    Where does this 25cm speciman reside?

    Hey Steve Im sure you believe me when I say that the entire family is waiting for those pics LOL I am so glad he is happier. It was not easy to let him go but he needed a bigger tank and the fishs health always comes first.

    Ahhh yes you see here is another case were the name Unicorn Tangs has caused confusion there must be about 8 fish that fall under that name and it is very fustrating some times.

    yes agreed but the bland one with teh actually unicorn is hardly ever for sale in this part of the woods
