This fish has an ulcer on it. It hid the first 3 days after coming home. Not sure if it got hurt when it got netted at the LFS (he kinda had trouble getting it out of the tank), or if it's sick. It's doing ok otherwise. Eating, swimming with the other fish, breathing ok. Almost looks like it'd been injured and is now healing, but I'm not sure.

    It's by it's right fin.

Howzit Dlaria. Try and take it out and rahter put it in a QT tank. Not worth it to let the fish stress and increase the chances of ich.... Once in a QT, get some myxazin and treat like derected, slightly warmer temp and feed it more regularly... Just my 2C.... Lets hear what the other reefers think...

Ok, in my stupid humble opinion, catching the fish again will only stress it out MORE, i
if it's still eating, it should get better, let the immune system fix it and if you see your other fish get a similar injury, then you kno you have some viral, bacterial or parasitic infection.

How long does it take a wound to heal on a human, fish need more time?

How are your water parameters, did you acclimatise the dude/dudette long enough?

So many factors could cause a fish to get an injury or wound.

    Glad it's still eating!

It had this on it 3 days after coming home. I left it in the bag floating for 20 min in the tank, then gradually added water to the bag. I'll post numbers on water tonight.

I'm feeding fish flakes with garlic, vitamin c, etc. and some frozen (various types). He seems ok, except for the sore. He's even making faces at the other fish.
