Boyu TL-550 LED ver. Thank has been running for 11 weeks. Any advice how to get rid of them? Running matrix carbon and Purigen, std skimmer, 2 x 2000lt/ph flow pumps.

Looks like dinoflagellates (dino), usually the cause is low flow, but your tank is still young so it's probably another phase, our tank also went through it. Cover your tank and switch off lights for a few days (2 or 3) that's what got rid of ours, hope I helped

Looks like part of the cycle. It should subside in a couple of weeks. This is normal.

Have you got anything in the tank or is it just liverock?

Have you tested Nitrate, Nitrite, Phosphate and Ammonia levels?

Then it most probably just the cycle that is completing. My tank went through this as well. Takes a couple of weeks to subside.

I wouldn't rush it. Give it time to clear naturally.

Could possibly be early signs of cyano bacteria. Mine does this then a day or two later purple sludge starts forming. High nutrients low flow.

The lights being switched off for so long will it not effect the corals LPS or SPS ?
