Steve, I can bring them to CT...if someone can fix a lift from here..

Otherwise I will personally put R 500 to a flight, if the other MASA members get on board we can sort this in no time !!!!

Just had a chat with Frans. I really thought, he is loosing it.
I tried to get hold of the curator of the twooceans, but his phone is off.
Will try tomorrow again and see that we get the turtles down to CT. The two oceans knows what to do with these guys.
So please guys, don't even think of keeping them as a pet.
We will sort this out asap.

Keeping sea turtles would be illegal, Octopus are nice in tanks but are escape artists.

Problem sorted. Just got green light from the curator. The two oceans will take them. They got already 6 babies swimming and after they are big enough, they will be released. Frans is going to arrange the transport with Steve and I will arrange the arrival at the aquarium. I also put for 100 bucks petrol in Frans tank.

Hi guys, thanks for the offers, unfortunately Cape Town is the wrong way. We do rehabilitation of Seaturtles at Bayworld and tie it in with research. I am waiting for a reply on a possible lift next Wednesday, but it is not confirmed yet.

Do we have a competition between the two aqauriums?
Do we have time to waste?
Sorry, but for my understanding it is important that they get asap in the right hands.
I rather dont comment it any further!

Hi Marcel, there is no competition between the aquariums, we actually assist each other as much as possible with specimens and information, including rehabilitation of sea turtles. The turtles are being adequately looked after already at a research station until they reach us. I posted on several forums and have received a response from somebody on Sealine who will bring them to Bayworld for us. If you wish I can contact Two Oceans to explain that transport to PE has been arranged.
Thankyou everyone for the offers of financial assistance and organising.
At present we have 6 Loggerhead hatchlings, 1 juvenile Loggerhead and 5 juvenile Greens in rehab and 4 resident Loggerheads that are not suitable for release.
