Hi Guys
Some advise please. I am going to use two 150w Jager heaters in my sump connected to a STC1000 Temperature Controller. Question are as follows:

1. Can I run both heaters on the same channel?
2. Do I set the heaters 1 degree more than the temperature controller or the other way around?

My tanks is roughly 480Lt's including the sumps water volume.
Thanks in advance

I have two x 300 watt heater and a fan working off the STC, recall the wiring was a little tricky but was the best value for money device I think I have bought.

Have you got the wiring diagram? Sure I have a soft copy of it somewhere, pm me if you need it.

The STC is connected already. Had our technologist here at work wire it up and set but I have not confirmed that he has set it properly so still need to figure out how to check that. I will be running a chiller on the cooling channel and two 150w hetaers on the same heating channel. If you don't mind, yes please, send me that wiring diagram if you can find it.
Thanks

and do yourself a favor. Buy 2 different color Janus plugs. And put that on both lines out. Then it is a lot simpler to plug in and remove heaters if needed. No need to cut off heater 2 prong plugs.

Sjoe! That's a lot. I guess I will have no issue then with two 150w or even two 200w for that matter.
What about the settings to go off on both the heaters thermostat and the STC. Do you set your heater to go off 1 degree higher than the STC unit.

I have two Janus Couplers. One for chiller and one for the two heaters. I will simply pull out one heater plug from the Janus if need be. Will that be a problem.

heaters at 1 degree higher.
So that the switching gear inside the heater never goes on and off

nope, no problem, as long as the remaining heater can sustain the temperature levels of the tank.

Thought so. Just needed to confirm thanks.
I will then get a dual two pin or tri two pin adaptor and use one side of the Janus coupler then. Is this correct?

If one heater fails I doubt then that 1 150w Jager heater will sustain the 480Lt of water until I see there's a an issue. So maybe best to do two 200w instead.

Very straight forward. YouTube and Google has a lot of information on how to wire it up

Personally prefer to use the STC1000 to control a separate relay/contactor to increase the longevity of the onboard components.
