Tuxedo death

Came home today to find my new tuxedo urchin dead and empty
Saturday

Today

Everything else seems happy

Check ammonia level, they are very sensitive to ammonia.

Mine also pegged for no reason at all. Everything is in check and till today no reason found.

Temp could also have an effect but in my case my tank is stable a 26.5C (due to aircons in the house).

Could have been temp then, was a hot weekend. Have fans on stc1000, but sometimes takes a while to bring temp back down

I run a STC1000 I'm using a clip on desk fan from clicks.hope that helps

I use a hi velocity Russell Hobbs.. Looks a bit crap but will have to do till I can get a chiller.

Sorry to revive this thread, I'm curious as to whether one can put an urchin shell in the tank? Like those green ones you sometimes find on the beach?

It will be covered in algae soon. If you can keep it in shade it would look OK.
