I need some input. I bought a turbo snail form a LFS. I accilmalated him for 1Hr. I placed him into the tank, for the first 5min was fine. For the last 20Hrs his just sitting in one place. I placed my hand in the tank, his not dead. Parameters are all ok. His relatively a large 1, I would say adult zize 3cm. Should I be concerned or is this normal for a snail.

What is your salinity? What was the salinity at the LFS? How do you measure your salinty?
Snails are very sensitive to salinity changes, you might have dripped for too short. He might come right, just let him be, give him another 24 hours.

Agreed with Carlos snails need to very carefully aclimatised in order to survive the water chemistry changes from one system to another..

not too much you can do now other than wait and see..

    good luck.

Mine are also active after lights out and they can sit on the same place for more than 24 hrs..so don't think there is reason to worry

Are Turbo snails cold water snails? Read up on a few forums, that they don't like warm water

the best is to give it some time. i see my cowry snail sitting in one spot for a couple of days at a time and then all of the sudden he starts to move. think its just to get used to your water params and then they go on the munch
