    Hi

I hooked up 2 12V batteries in series too my tunze safety connector (Too much head height for 1 12V). This works great and the return pump works fine.

My problem now is how do I connect two trickle chargers too these batteries, as the positive/negative between the two batteries are connected, thus a positive from one charger will be connected to the negative on the other charger.

    Will this cause any problems?

If one charger is rated for 12v and you spreading it over 2 batteries in series (with a total output of 24v) this might cause issues?

Nope, chargers is only rated for 12V and in series I'll have 24V

Yep, that's what I read as well, they are rated for 12V each, so using it on essentially a 24V battery will not work, it'll only charge it half way.

One could use a 24V charger, but I don't have one lying around :(

i want to say use 1 charger per battery, use a volt meter to test the voltage across a single batter (ie + to -) if its 12v it should work. But i am really just guessing here.

I was thinking the same thing, as it sounds like it should work, but on the other hand, would just like too make sure before I burn the house down or something stupid like that.

What worries me is that the + on one charger will then be connected too the - of another, which might or might not cause shit, as the batteries are new, I don't really want too fry them
