The filter module that comes with this would suck the chrome off a tow hitch, very impressed with the skimmer although you have to check the air feed for kinks after shipping. Build quality is very good and uber simple. Will have it all installed next week and will post step by step picks of the mods. The old model of this skimmer had a track type fitting and this has a magnet type that is glued on. I will have to mod this to get it in the back of the Tl550 but " no problem "

As you can see this is really working well, note the state of the filter floss after 2 days. Skimmer is doing the trick as well.

looks great .... have same skimmer on my cube ..... just make sure you keep the water level at the line drawn on the skimmer body (ie watch out for evaporation) ...

I lose about 2l a day at the mo so I look at it at least twice a day to keep the salinity steady. I run a 150 MH and two tubes in a 600 aqua medic pendant. I will add the auto top up module at some stage.

Water quality is amazing crystal clear, these shots were taken at night with flash. More to follow. In the last shot I have just given Seymour the anemone half a shrimp. when scrounging for food he is about 9 inches across, almost too big for the tank.

[IMG][IMG] My purple lobster Larry, also taken at night, Larry gets a snack at bed time. Again you can see the difference the new filtration has made.

You might have to get the top up sooner than later, once the water level drops in the filter you get annoying bubbles in the tank. The new 3155 osmoregulator will eliminate that as it is infra red technology and can be set for exact measurements.
