Has anybody got their Tunze nano pumps, the 6025 or 6045 on any type of controller? I know the pumps are not designed to be on a controller, but has anybody tried it on a normal on/off controller? If so for how long and are the pumps still ok? Do they start in reverse at all? Thanks.

I wonder if hooking them up to a controller will affect the warranty as they were not designed for it.

i have always wondered about this.. these pumps are far superior to makes such as sun sun (insult i know) so should be more robust from a controllability point of view.... or not?

i doubt george will give us his blessing with this ...... :p

Nope, nothing wrong with the pumps, they are working 100%, I was just thinking my anemones might like a bit of varied flow so was looking at the cheapest way to do this with the equipment I have at my disposal.

the AM wave for eg has a soft start... so instead of giving 100% to the pump on start up they slowly deliver juice to the pump to avoid start up damage...

Hmm.... Talk to Rob Adrian or Scott. there is a device on the profilux that varies the output voltage. Not sure if it works on the Tunze or if it is available separately as a standalone. Press one of their buttons for more details. @AD Donovan

Tunze do not uphold their Warranty if that is done, but in your case Dean give it a bash you are out of warranty any way. Those pumps new are now guaranteed for 2 years so if anyone has a claim it wont be honoured. The distributor in the UK is Garry Barden give him a shout and see what he says or better still get hold of Rodger Vitco in the USA and see what he says.
