Are porcelain crabs suitable tank mates for a tube anemone in a 30l nano. Or would they just be a crunchy snack?:whistling:

cool. My only worry is, these are also known as anemone crabs. They might try to host in the anemone

My Anemone crab has never gone near my bubble tip....they dont all host or evan want to host....I also reckon the critters in your tank know when they shouldnt go near something like an anemone that may eat them

Tube anemones don't host clowns or Nennie crabs so no need to worry about that. I had a Nennie crab and tube Nennie in the same nano, no problems. Just beware tube nennies need space as they will sting near by corals so a nano ain't ideal for them.
Archie, I'm amazed ur crab hasn't moved into ur rbta- mine headed straight for mine when I introduced him into the same tank!

Im kinda glad it hasnt....I added an anemone shrimp a week or so ago, and once it started hosting the anemone started to show signs of stress, not to mention the clown fighting with it.....

Ya through crab does annoy my nennie a bit, but its a small crab in a large rbta so its not too bad. My clown and crab share the nennie, believe it or not, and reasonable peacefully too. Just a small tussle every now and then between them which is interesting to watch.

i know they need space. My tank is only 360 x 360 x 250. If the crab doesnt go near it, it'll probably have nowhere to go...i thought just a tube anemone n nennie crab tank would be cool. N low maintenance.
