    Hi All

I have a TS2 skimmer. Lately it seems that skimmate production is not as prolific as before. I can see that my corals seems to suffer a bit. They are not as open as before. I have opened everything up, and cleaned as best as I could.

Are there any improvements one can make to the TS2 to improve its operation?

    Thanks
    Chris

Time to clean the venturi- these are prone to clog up over time with deposits. Soak and Blast some hot water and vinegar a couple of times. Should see an improvement.

You can do the pin wheel mod on the impellor that will give you finer bubbles and the also check the venturi and dont forget to open up the silencer and clean that as they also tend to clog up a bit

dude, common problem with TS skimmers, take the pump out and put a earbud through the air intake thingy where the tube connects to, i tried everything and it was just that small calcium deposit in the air intake that made the skimmer not actually skim.

Don't do the impeller mod, if reeftek thought it would be a good idea, they would have done it already,it just unbalances the impeller and destroys the shaft

if you do the mod with berkleys fire wire, aka braided line , you wont have a problem with balance, mine is running now 3months and no problems
