im thinking of the reefoctopus RS2 as i can place it alost anywhere!
 
I'm speaking under correction but think Andrew said all insump were Reeftec and all rec. were Octopus... Alan has the Reef Octo 2 pump Rec. and it rocks big time - but so does my small 1 pump one :(
 
Except for the TS1 that's not a recirc as far as I know. The needle wheel pump is also the feed pump. I think.
 
The TS range is really great, had a TS 2 and now a TS 3 and wow both pulled out nasty stuff.
 
awsome skimmers that are really worth every cent..... a real break through in skimmers, they are efficient and cheap and something the average guy can save up for without too much difficulty and still get value for money.....
 
Gali, get the TS1 its worth the money. Had to add a wooden airstone to the weipro to get it to skim properly, then had to changed the airstone every so often because the wood rots, then it took time for the skimmer to settle again...not worth the effort.
 
gali if you are thinking of upgrading the TS1 looks to be a decent skimmer. Have never used the reeftek but am seriously considering one for my fish only at the office.

Man all that hard work all for an upgrade - I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who does this :)

Now get that TS1 so you can tell me how well it skims because I'm also thinking of getting one for a tank I got lying around....
 
Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons (and please dont get me wrong... i own the RS4 and it is the best skimmer i have owned)...but i have a 200 litre lps tank low tech... no sump... one seio m1100...and T5 lighting. ..The skimmer am1000.... does this baby work hard...she is a slave to labour....consistent and very reliable...I have seen quiet a few second hand around.... I say look at all the options... within the options:001_huh:

what RS4 on what 200L tank sean?i remember seeing a huge tank with a RS4?

As mentioned this tank has one seio a skimmer and a plenum with crushed coral...no sump...and i am very proud of her...12 years old and she still produces...all corals on the sand...3kg rock...as for ideas ...there is a definite lack of them:razz:
But i will post pics....when i get my act together. Maybe this weekend
