So a bit of an update and a question. The flower pot is now being used for what it was intended for a flower pot:lol: have put a TS1 in the sump. My only problem is that it is not that stable in there and have got 2 pieces of egg crate under it as when I first connected it the cup filled in less than a minute. This morning checked it and the cup still filling up to quickly should I keep putting egg crate under it to get the wright level.

I had the same problem with my TS1.Every time i switched it on,the water just shot up.I had to raise the skimmer using eggcrate in order to get it to skim correctly.

Pete - you should drop your internal water level (inside the TS1) using the riser pipe at the side of the skimmer. The water level should be JUST below the 2nd "neck" section in the skimmer (from the top). Just where the tapered neck on the inside begins.

Hope you understand. Then the skimmer should not overflow. IT should skim much drier (it overflows usually when the water level inside the skimmer body, it too high)....

You can drop the water level by lowering the riser pipe, and increase the water level by moving the riser pipe upwards.

Hi jacquesb have been playing around with the pipe but up or down still get the same result and if I understand you correctly if the cup is off it will be the the level must be by the cone shape thingy

Yes Jacques is correct, i should have added to what Jacques mentioned regrading adjusting the water level height in the skimmer.

Any change you do give it a min or 2 or more to settle down. I have found the water level is always higher when you switch it on again.

Very simple to setup. On the pump that has come with it, remove the cover that covers the inlet to the pump.Add on the attachment with the venturi to the inlet of the pump.On the outlet theres another pipe, that pushes on there and then just squeezes into the the hole in the skimmer.that pretty much the way you set it up.
Just did Andreas's Ts4 on Saturday.

Thanks Meakeel, i was confused about the wet/dry skimming part and where to adjust did not know that the black pipe moves up down, I just saw 1 in action in 1 of the lps here and now know exactly how to set it up.
