TS1 Question

my ts1 works very well. im getting brown coloured skimmate , is this good ???

the important question i wana ask is , u got the skimmer , from the top is the cup then theres another section on the skimmer itself , where the reeftek logo is , is this supposed to have water in there. ive noticed in the last few days that , that section gets the same color as the skimmate.

I also get water in there but it is clear, I have noticd if you raise the water level tube too high it fills up and overflows through the hole. Are you sure your cup is not overflowing? Try taking out the skimmer and giving it a good clean and trying again, maybe it just got a bit dirty.

I have had this skimmer running on my 150l Octagon and I do not get much in the cup although I only have 1 fish in the tank and I do not feed much. I have got quite a bit of stuff in the neck though.

I really like this skimmer only problem is imine did not come with the hole to feed my airline tubing through and no sticker...but it amazes me how white the tube looks with all the bubbles. I'm going to run it for a few more weeks and then mod the baby....

just ckeaned it on sunday afternoon and yesterday night , that section is brown .. my skimmate is brown in color more on the light side and ive raised the skimmer quite a bit already , will raise it a bit more and see what happens
