Hopefully someone can assist me here, when I first set my tank up which was in Sept 2010 after around 3 weeks I made the mistake of adding two Yellow Tail Damsels now 5 months down the line and the tank is really starting to mature and look good I have started adding some more fish.

To my surprise I added a Regal Tang and the Damsels went mad, got all territorial and landed up severly injuring the Regal.

After numerous attempts to catch the little buggers and still no success I have decided to ask you all on MASA if you have some ingenious ways of catching these two fish as they are really starting to become a nuisance.

Try netting them at night after lights out?

Take big pieces of glass, and partition off your tank. Making sure they can not get past the glass. Then you only need to remove the rock inside the partition. Fish cannot see the glass in the water and end up swimming like crazy against it. Easy to catch.

Even easier if you can do with two pieces of glass a box in one front corner. Chase fish in and close the box. Less rock to remove.

Just be carefull not to bang and break the glass pane or our tank.

Try take a 2 lt bottle and cut the neck so that the fish will just fit in and then cut the bottle at first ring to insure it will fit snug into the back end that is left, then to insert the topend backwards (small side first) into the back, make sure it wont come out , then put some food in the bottom and put it into your tank slowly filling it up with water, then you play the waiting game they will be caught without disrupting your tank

Just to add maybe instead of glass try perspex. Easy to handle and wont damage your tank.
