Jungle aquatics had some at a reasonable price, I think they were about R150 ask @bryan

Have you ever used the 2lt coke bottle method? Worked for me.

Depending on how big the Tang is, you may need to cut the neck for a slightly larger entrance. Just drop some food in and wait patiently!

That will never work for a convict tang.

I suggest you a proper trap. Otherwise, you will have to do it the hard way.

It does work with Convict tangs! I catch them locally and keep in my DT for a few weeks to trim back algae and then return them to a holding tank.

They range from 4cm to 8cm. Bear in mind that "the coke bottle method" is not limited to only coke bottles. I have used the larger water bottles successfully as well. And if you read above the picture I posted you will see I have mentioned cutting the "entrance" bigger depending on the size of the fish. I purely mentioned this to give the option instead of waiting and paying for a trap. It costs nothing and is worth a shot.

I have used this method for 3 years now while diving for my own fish as well as removing fish from fish tanks.

Quick question, does the colour of the bottle make a diff? and why.
