That looks like a heliofungia (long tentacled plate)

This is what mine looks like and even when lights are out it just retracts smaller. Doesnt look anything like on your 2nd pic. I dont have experience with using herbtana. Never used it before. But lets see what the pros come up with

herbtana should not harm anything. but make sure you are following the instructions. If you have more questions post in the Peckoltia forum section as Henk is the specialist for this product;)

Did you drip acclimatise the coral before adding to your tank? If it is a plate coral, put it on the substrate. I am not sure if it is or not. Does it have a hard circular base?

Hi Dude, Herbtana definitely affected my corals especially my zoas! Are you dosing because of whitespot? If not i would stop immediately to see if the corals recover!

To me it looks more like he is feeding on some stuff in the herbtana. Heliofungia isn't really a good starter coral, fungias (short tentacled plate corals) are much hardier. Both types of plate corals should be placed on the substrate and not up on rocks. I would suggest moving it to the substrate and target feeding it with some coral food, a turkey baster and the pumps turned off for a bit.

What made you go with zeo if you are new to marines?

I second that from your description, That is no Torch and moving it down to substrate will be a good idea.
Herbatana does cause that with coral, after treatment should look better.
Dont force feed coral especially not in the state its in. Goodluck

As I mentioned in your other thread, running a Zeovit system without a skimmer is a really bad idea.

Hence Blackadder's comment. Running a zeo system without a skimmer is extremely dangerous. Would be better to remove the sick fish and treat them in a quarantine tank.
