Hey all, so I got an I'd on these two corals, not sure if it is in the right place on the forum, but I would like to know the care requirements. I have put the torch near the bottom of the tank, in meduim to high flow, and the geniopora in the middle to top of the tank, also meduim flow, I currently dose reef snow and red sea colours once a week, I feed lobster eggs, frozen brine shrimp flakes and pellets, do I need to target feed these two corals? I have noticed the one head on the torch seems damaged, should I just leave it from a couple days and see what happens? Or should I frag it? [IMG]

I would cut off that head from the torch.. It looks like it has brown jelly and could spread to the rest of coral...

Rather safe than sorry... instead of losing the entire coral just take pliers and cut it of on the branch of the skeleton.

So if I am right in saying, I must not cut it right by the head, rather like you cut roses, right down at the bottom where the branch is coming out or split like a tree branch, sorry still new at this. What should I feed it?

Thanks @mornewil, do you target feed it? How would you do that, I can get the frozen mysis, do I just defrost and add to the tank? Got frozen brine as well

Yep, that head is a goner. Cut it off ASAP. Quite normal to lose a head or two just after shipping/transport.

Use a turkey baster. switch off pumps and squirt around tentacles.

Perfect, will give it a try, idid add a block of frozen brine yesterday so will only try feed again on Sunday.

Should be fine till then if I am feeding my other fish lobster eggs and flakes? Should I only feed once lights are off or can I do it while lights are on?
