Was just wondering what everybodies top priorities were with regards to their systems now i am not saying that anything that falls outside of these top five are not important. I know we all focus on different aspects when it comes to our systems, so what are your top five?
Mine are in order.
Temp control
Skimming
Bio filtration-mainly because of high fish load
Water flow
Water changes

Water changes
Checking pH
Temp control
Feeding
Other testing

water flow
skimming
lights
KH and PH
water changes

skimmers (even though I don't have the best, I do look after those I have - I clean mine out 2 to 3 times per week)....
phosphate reactor
salinity
calcium, kH and pH
lights
water movement
feeding

Uhhhmmm very concerned, just not in my top five. I would stress far more if my temp went up a couple of degrees to 29 than if my ca dropped to 340.
Its actually really difficult to break them down to your top 5 priorities, my main concern with my system is water quality and how to maintain that, that is how i broke it down.

skimming
temp
monitoring nutrient levels
Ca & alk levels
lighting & flow

first and foremost waterchanges 2nd skimming, 3rdwater flow and 4th supplement addition (cal, alk, mag, iodine) 5th feeding (with vitamin enriched foods).....

Skimming
Water quality (aka filtration)
Species (compatability, requirements, full size attained)
Feeding (rate, amount and types of food)
Temp

Nice Kevin, an important aspect which is often overlooked.
