Hi, I noticed lots of little white things growing all over, they in my skimmer chamber and all over my rocks. They look like tiny white tree stumps about 2 to 3mm high with little feelers things at the end of it. Any idea what they are?

I have the same in my tank. They are harmless and a indication that your tank is healthy. What are they, well they are a type of sponge filter feeder. I have searched what species they are exactly and can't get anything specific except that they are sponges. With time once you have fish they will disappear in your display (due to some fish and crabs etc. feeding on them) but will remain in your sump and my honest opinion they help with water quality. Hope it helps.

Looking at your pics I think you're referring to Hydroids, they normally appear in new tanks and disappear after a week or two, quite normal.

I can also see what's commonly known as pineapple sponges. Good little guys that tend to stick around in your tank, innocent little sponges.

Do a google image search for "white hydroids" and also "pineapple sponge" and you should find what I think you're asking about.

Great stuff! You can be glad it's not those things in the pictures I posted. They called Aptasia and they are a pain in the butt.
