My tank is 400 x 500 x 500 and i currently have a 3000 lph sunsun pump in the tank but it seems to be too little flow? If its too little flow what would u guys suggest should i add another 3000 lph or should i add a seio 1200 lph or something lie that just to make more randomn flow?

Johan - it is always better to have more of smaller power heads, than only one big one...

So - I would go for another one or 2 x 1200 litre per hour SEIO's.

What exactly are you planning to keep? Soft-corals and SPS wants HUGE HUGE water flow...... LPS corals don't like a lot of water flow at all.....

So - decide what you want to keep - and then determine what water flow you "need".....

Well only soft corals for at first and when lighting is upgraded i might get a lps or two but mainly softies for now. Ok so ill try get seio's around the 1500 liter hour mark, maybe one at forst to go with the sunsun and then another later to totally replace the sunsun. Do seio's run off the boyo controller? Or only of the seio controller? could i go as hight as 4500 lph with only softies?

I think the SEIO's should run off the Boyu controller, that controller just switches the pumps on and off doesn't it?

I think if you add another 2 x 1500 lph pumps you should be ok.

My cube is 60 squared and has a total of 12'000lph ie 3 suns suns and the return and I still feel it to be too little , so to answer your question I know how you feel , I think as most of the guys have said think of what you want to keep and then add the flow accordingly

Yeah problem is that u dont want too much pumps in the tank because there already so little space. Dont want less, im gonna go for a 2400 lph seio and then save up and get two 1200 liter ones that should work nicely
