Around 10.5 months ago, Todd Gardner could see the captive-bred Liopropoma event horizon, only to fall short of metamorphosis at day 46 or so. *Difficulties soon followed, and for most of the summer there wasn’t much to say. *Well, Todd Gardner isn’t giving up, so neither should you. *The video above was shot on September 18th, 2011, by Gardner’s co-worker Chris Paparo. *Once again, we here at Reef Builders must applaud the open sharing of progress on cutting-edge breeding like this. *Can we also mention one minor detail? *Unlike last year’s efforts, this year it would appear that, given the title “Candy Bass Larvae”, Todd knows exactly which species of Liopropoma basslet he’s rearing, and it ain’t the Swissguard! Bring it home Todd – BRING IT HOME! Several more videos after the break.
