I took 2 similar photos, one with and one without flash. Which do you think is better?

It depends what you want to go for, Mudshark. With the flash, everything is MUCH more clear and crisp - but, does look "washed out" a wee bit...

Without the flash, the coloration is FAR FAR better, but the pic is not 100% as crisp and clear......

Personally - I like them both - for the above reasoning.....

I agree with what you guys are saying. From an aesthetic point of view it looks better without the flash, but with the flash it looks more like it would in sunlight.

I always prefer with-OUT flash as it gives a true colouration.

No flash + tripod = best photo

i personally prefer the "without flash"and you obviously have good light comming into that tank. I just feel that the colouration (specifically of the clowns) is far more intense and true to nature, without really loosing that much with blurr.

what was the shutter speed or the without flash, it must be fairly high?

i personally only use flash if the camera will be underexposed at 1/60 of a sec on the widest app setting. else i try go with the light available. Just simply far better colouration (in my view)

In this case, I would say without the flash but agree with Crispin, if you can go without flash that is the only way to go. Sometimes that is impossible though.

Did you shoot this image in RAW. If you did i would look at the flash shot again and play with the white-balance.

Let me be the odd one out: With flash, big pixel ratio, then you send it to me to "color" up with Photoshop!!!!!:lol:

    :nono:

Nah, the pic without the flash looks better.
