This is going to be a cracker...looking hot Titus...

Somebody said somewhere, that half the excitement of owning a tank was planning and setting up.... That it is...but watching a tank mature is just as big a blast...albeit a slow, very slow... drawn out blast.... like a pebble bed reactor i suppose:)

I am very interested in your pump. Are they readily available in sunny S.A.?

Thanx dude,
Ye u said it dude. couldn't agree more.

Yip as far as i am aware they are pretty much readily avil in sunny SA. i will clarify with Carl. that guys ia pearl of wisdom, gees. And having Him and Reefer doing my tank with me, is awesome. both very knowledgeable.

Just so damn excited, flip. still grinning like an idiot :D

Glad to hear things are standing to get together finially... Just remeber we want progress pic's from day 1 of receiving everything...

Keep up the great service Carl and Andreas...

dont worry dude, i will certainly share every moment of the tanks birth. dont worry about that. will keep u all updated. in the processing doing the order of the starfire, so will arrive end week or maybe mon or tues next week and then can get started with building it.

Cant wait

here what its kinda gonna look like, couple small things hav changed, but the glass itself not chamging

oh, lol sorry my bad. ye gonna be awesome. paied for the glass this afternoon. so should get it end of this week or more like mon next week and will start building the tank asap. sump i think is ready, just waiting for it to be dropped off, stand is busying being built. once that arrives will hammerite it. Reefer is gonna be going to fetch skimmer n pumps 2moro as well as the heater and the arogonite. so cant wait for that

Make sure you glue all your plumbing very very very very well. Especially on a CLS. Those pumps kick ass. Big time. I was impressed at their water movement vs power drawn. Can't remember the power consumption, but do remember thinking it was pretty low for the volume of water it moves.

Thanx Hill, dont worry im being very fussy with this tank, gonna do everthing properly. plumbing i'll make sure is 110%

Galibore, i will confirm the price of the galss first and then will let u know dude. but from what i remember yesterday it was around R300 for 12mm. but will make sure first

If I may suggest, in your sump design, if my assumption that the right most compartment is the return chamber is correct, then rather position your return pump(s) outside (externally) if it can be run like that. Connect it to the compartment with bulkheads.

I wish I had done this. It is now such a misison for me to vacuum this compartment because getting the return pump out is a mission on it's own. With the pump out of the way (outside), you don't even have to swicth off the pump let alone take it out.

sweet dude, i hav changed the design of the sump a fair ammount. havent got round to doing a CAD. but will certainly try fit that in with the pump being outside, just space is a prob seeing space in engine bay aint all that big

Ye, tell me about it. still got alot i still wanna fit underneath in there. but i'll make a plan.
