Tiny Crab

    Ok so this tiny little bugger is the first time I have seen it. I know the resident crabs (watch for my next thread on the one thats just getting to big).

    Description:

    Hairy
    White like omo white...... Only see him on my monti.

    Sorry for the pics they Cell phone and at night too.... (ignore Hermy the hermit who loves climbing my SPS)

    I have one exactly the same,not too sure what type it is,but all he/she does all day is sit on the exact same rock in my dsb waiting for me to feed him/her...very cute actually..

    Um what do you feed it cause if its eating fish there is a problem ....

    I would like to buy a blue legged hermit crab what should I feed it?

    It eats almost anything if you feeding your fish adequately then you don't need to directly feed it. If you want to feed it VERY small pieces of fish or shrimp.

    Yeah they eat almost anything - not the ENTIRE piece :) just a thin little bit like a match stick.

    make sure you thaw it...

    if it aint movin he'll chow it, mine like hake, they feed off the squid i feed my trigger, they eat krill, and the green formula one pellets, they eat dead fish, dead coral/Zoa's fingers if you're slow, just about anything... ;)

    @JDV - they like bullet proof if your toilet had a little salt it would live there too

    if a crab dies in your tank, somethings wrong or he got old.

    @mytank well I've only given it flakes or pellets thus far,but I'm sure it would enjoy a nice piece of hake :) any crab would, even @rakabos crabs lol

    It sits in the highest point of the highest rock in my dsb,knows that's where I feed it,waits for the food and catches it quite quickly...cute little bugger
