Hi Guys, newbie here, been considering reefing for some time now and made up my mind to start my first marine aquarium. I am considering a Boyu TL550, my goal is to have more of a coral tank with 2 clowns and perhaps 1 or 2 cleaning fishes, no invertebrates.

My idea is to start out with a couple of easy to manage soft corals see how it grows and adding some new specimens every couple of weeks or months.

Good luck with the Project. Cleaning fish you say? Go for the goby cleaning fish, it is small and does not exclusively eat parasites off of fish. Very cute little guys.

    Need some help

Hi guys, like I mentioned earlier I have been looking at getting a Buyo TL550, I noticed that there are two types, one with florescent lights and one with LED lights? which one is best?

Also has anyone experience with a Boyu MT508 tank, this model is bigger than the TL450 by 20 litres and almost half the price of an TL 550?

@Saturn - the LED lighting is hands down better. There is no ways anybody can deny that. Wether it justifies the price is another story. My TL550 came with the florescent tubes and I quickly realized the limitations of it.

Do yourself a favor, do not buy a new unit, browse for second hand tanks as if/when the bug bites, there is a huge chance you will want to upgrade in half a year and the retail value on the tank second hand is very low.

Please, do not put a cleaner wrasse in the tank.
