Most activity I've seen out of them in a while and trying as hard as they can to defend their eggs.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the eggs to hatch if not eaten?

Very odd to see them out and about during the day. Mine i only see at night or sometimes when i feed. I had eggs of different snails that hatched but it took very long. Not sure exactly on time frame but defnitaly longer than two or three weeks.

Nassarius yes. They seldom come out during the day so it was interesting to watch their behaviour. Maybe I can get some little ones

Apparently it takes about two weeks to hatch and then there's a floating around the tank stage for quite some time. Guess they would need to go in another tank for the floating period.

Go on, put your maternal instinct into practice. Rear some baby snails, you know you can do it. :p
