    hi all,

just want to confirm something before i take out the knife !

These two corals are very close to one another .... the one on the left a type of kenyan tree (sinulara (sp) i think) and the other is a pin cushion .both have easily trippled in size in 6 odd months ... other than the edges where they are close together there is full PE, but near each other they look pretty unhappy ! ....... Is this chemical warefare / stinging and is pulling out the knife the right thing?

    the same goes for this

but here the sinulara will get the chop and not my nennie !

    thanks

Yes - Neil. If you do not/cannot move the corals - then frag them....

the one next to the nennie i cant move... and he needs to go as that is the space for the new SPS.... then the others have just grown so big .... its time to frag .... plus gives me some frags to trade for more SPS

Just a quick one Niel. I don't think that is a Kenya Tree.

Also Sinularia are not Kenya Trees (Capnella), but rather Finger Leathers ;)

PS: Sinularia have over a 100 species that have been identified, so far

That nennie is doing very very well, and no knife is going near him for a very long time..... he is still attached to the rock that i got from you !!

Yip all across in the new setup..... making many changes... last night hooked up the 150mh i got, also put in an ATS a week ago.... will start a thread sometime when i feel there is something to show for all my hard work !
