Saltwater Aquarium Invertebrates for Marine Reef Aquariums: Serpent Sea Star, Fancy Tiger Striped
Tiger-Striped Serpent Sea Star should be fed small pieces of chopped meat, shrimp, mussel, or fish.

So, I guess there will be two types of shrimps in your tank if this guy is in there.

ive got one and ive never had any difficulty with shrimp or fish. its nocturnal and stays pretty deep in the rock work but i see it often and i use bristle stars as a major part of my CUC.

that link shows them to be a peaceful scavenger of meaty foods and Id agree with that, i dont think it will take out a living shrimp.

A green brittle star on the other hand is a very active hunter.

they are reef safe, i have 4 in my tank
the feeding suggested by most sites is incase your tank is clean they will need food as they are scavengers

    Ok thanks guys....
So its all fine if I put shrimp with the tiger striped serphant sea star.
What if when the shrimps are moulting won't they be vulnerable...

I have 6 cleaner shrimps and 10 crabs and never lost one, the serpent stars are nocturnal, so if your tank is new with very little fish waste, when lights go out place a small piece of krill or fish near where they are and you will see them hunt it down
