TheWaterboy UV ALGAE-X , 3 IN 1 REACTOR!!!
A few years back we launched version 1 - TheWaterboy 3 in 1 Reactor.
it was a huge success and came with a stainless steel uv tube.
the results were amazing however after a few months and in cases over a years, the stainless steel tube began to corrode on the weld join of the end caps and we had to replace a few and thus discontinued the range until now.
We found an incredible powerful and reliable PVC uv sterilizer and redesigned the reactor with larger fittings for more dispersing flow through the carbon and phosphate chambers but yet still slow enough for the uv contact time to be effective.:yeahdude::yeahdude::yeahdude:
we intergrated TheWaterboy's UnMatched Maxi-Zorb coconut shell Granular Activated Carbon in the carbon reactor, with ATI's iron based stop phosphate MEDIA in the phoshate reactor chamber with the UV STERILIZER AS THE 3rd Chamber....... The Results are Astounding.:1::thumbup:
capable of handling systems up to 1500 litres in size

wow...thats awesome dallas.....that must be a good 6 or 7 years old

thats great news, there were alot of stainless ones that survived but sadly we lost alot of money on a batch that had a welding issue on the stainless....
thats why Version 2.0 kicks ass along with the larger flow fittings

Can we get a uv upgrade? Mine never leaks and just replaced the lamp

Can you send me the price of uv

maybe a stupid question. But should the UV light not be shielded?

Or does the outer holder do that?

So just to get it straight. Do the algae x 3 in 1 fit on your existing RO unit or do you use it directly on your tank?

will do

outer holder has a uv resistance but as stated on the product, we do not recommend you look at the uv light.......just in case;)
i have had first hand experiance with having starred at a 55 watt tube for about a minute while fixing a bottle sterilizer on a soda manufacturing plant.
and i can say...having spent the night in hospital with a burnt face and the worst case of arc eyes........i can say i dont recommend anyone look staright at a burning tube for long.

no this unit connects to the tank....a pump in the sump will feed the unit and the outlet will go back in the sump/tank

been their also, not plesant, this looks like a really nify All-in-one product!

UV shield built in the tube, same as the glass on a Metal Halide light fitting.
Is there a way to measure the light coming out to see if it really do stop UV radiation?

Just a suggestion. Why do you not add a shield over the tube on top. Extra safety. I used a 110mm PVC pipe cut open and placed that over my DO resin when my RO unit was mounted outside to prevent algae from growing inside the unit. Similar concept, but instead of blocking the light coming in, you now block the light going out.

Okay i'll stop looking at it now

What's the shipping on this product to P.E?

nice idea, but we confident along with the branding sticker that still goes on the chamber it will be perfect.
we designed a label that lets the uv light shine out on the words "UV"...should have them in a day or 2
