okay, so we have moved and finally settled in to our new place........so i decided to get the builders back in and finally start a large tank again.
it will be a in wall picture frame like tank with access from behind and sides for maintanance etc etc
i was inspired by a thread posted by viper that featured this tank
    Tank of the Month - July 2008 - Reefkeeping.com

    so here are the dimensions
    length..............1500mm
    width..................650mm
    height..................650mm

    sump..................1000mm x 500mm x 500mm

the tank will be made in 12mm starfire glass which has been orderd and should be delivered soon.

    lighting:
reefinmates is designing a 10 x 54 watt t5 pendant with dali electronic dimmable ballasts, with a profilux led lightning stick intergrated that will run of a profilux 3 ex.
    t5 tubes will be giesemann
    3 x 54 watt aquablue + (white)
    3 x actinic + (blue)
    2 x aqua-pink
    2 x pure actinic (purple)

flow: tunze overflow with tunze eco drive return pump,
internal flow.......just got it yesterday....2 x tunze 6105 streams with 7095 multi controller and tunze wave box.

skimmer: was thinking of importing the bubble king, or was close to ordering the new reefoctopus extrenal cone with automated cleaning cup, but was made a great deal by tunze, so am installing the new external master doc (page 6)
    http://www.tunze.com/fileadmin/downloads_en/interzooen.pdf

tank will be run on NP pellets and zeo, in reactors, and a dual chamber tunze mechanical filter.
also will be installing either a profilux 4-way dosing pump or a new dosing pump designed by a good friend.
kalkstirrer: awaiting the arrival of the new reefoctopus' kalk stirrer

ph, temp and auto top up will be run on the profilux 3 ex and top up water supplied with
    the waterboy reefmaster evolution r.o.unit.

substrate: undecided......either the indo-pacific mix or fiji pink from carribsea, mixed with a few kilo's of live sand

will post some pics of the proposed area for the tank build in a few minutes

okay, this picture is from outside,
it is the area that will be used for the tank.
the back section will be bricked up with an access point from the right corner, all drainage etc etc will be led to the left corner.

this is inside the area , the tank, sump and stand will be placed here.

    this is the dinning room,
initially i was going to build a bar where the four doors are with a marine tank behind it, but we have a big covered entertainment area outside, so i'll build a bar there when this profect is over.
the four doors will be removed and a false wall with access doors made to look like part of the wall will be built around the tank and tank frame.
the tank will stand 1.1meters from the floor in the centre of the opening

some of the tunze stock ready to go.....lol

thats it for now, any fresh ideas.....will be taken into consideration:thumbup:
