Just seen now that Tunze USA states that the 9012 dc is designed to be used in Tank and not for sump

9012.001 DC DOC Skimmer in sump an absolute engineering marvel, can control wet or dry skimming with ease, small compact and precise.
No problem in a sump application. Tried and tested in TUNZE South Africa. Cheers Anita

I have the tunze 9430 for more than 3 years now without any problems.

I also have 9430, highly recommend the skimmer, ridiculously quite and the best skimmer I've owned!!

The nano was....it was cycling, decided to try out the new Waterbox tanks, just waiting on a dealer in cape town to get stock.

I am using the 9001 and 9004 skimmers.They work well really like them.
