Hi guys I am looking to stick a few small rocks together and I have seen people using pratley putty now here comes my questions? What type of pratley putty do you use for marine tanks?Does it need to cure in fresh water before use in the marine tank?If yes how long must it cure for? Thanks all

    Hi
Use the std one in the white and red box
Mix out the water and give it a minute or two as it heats up, mold and stick coral

Rather use Alcon aquamend, it doesn't cloud water and made to set under water

I use pratley putty quick set and i let it set in the tank. Never had problems with it in the past but i normally do a water change after it has set just in case. The only side effect i have seen is the skimmer doesn't skim for about half an hour afterwards. It normally sets in 20 minutes or so in the tank

Do need to cure the rock with the thing you glued with pratley putty in fresh water!

Pratleys std setting. Mix the 2. Wash hands use a little under the base of the coral. Then mould around the coral. Expect some cloudiness to appear in the water. Don't stress just don't get too carried away fiddling. Don't expect the stuff to work straight away. Give it a day to set properly. It's been the only putty to work so fr for me

You should try the quickest. It doesn't create the cloudiness and cures allot faster.
