Hi guys. So the beggining of my marine journey has begun so today bought my first equipment. IMPORTANT will be taking things slowly. So today bought lights and heater tomorrow will be getting filter.Bought an Ai.m marine blue moon light made by akwa its a 10 watt and I bought a 50 watt via aqua glass heater. For those that have not read my other post the equipment is for a 61 litre aquarium or in other words a 13 gallon aquarium.pics

I have same brand heater in my tank. I think they are good for a nice price. I had mine 2years without any probs except that they dont heat to 26 when you set it to 26. They are 1 or 2 degrees off.

Thanks Guys for the welcomes,Dorry it says in the beggining of the thread that I will be taken things slowly. So the only thing I will be able to show of the tank is the glass and silicone :lol:The tank is however going to be a nano with the measurements of 50cm long and 35cm wide and 35cm high.Current stocking is going to be a ocellaris clownfish and a six line wrasse.I love wrasses.I will also be 1 or 2 kg of live rock.If you guys know of any other wrasses that will be suitable for my tank please let me know.Deadmeat2016 the light in my opion is one of the best lights I would use for a marine tank, I'm not sure of the T8 part though. But I know this light is for coral and marine life growth wich I m looking for.bflynn the heater is one of best I have used so far with no probs either. I haven't had any probs with temp being 1 or 2 degrees off though, maybe yours is faulty.thanks guys .:)

Wrasses are awesome bud ..... Just remember not to have their favourite snacks crawling around though ... Shrimps .... Also their natural behaviour is nihht time to bury themselves in the substrate .... So remember to have favourable conditions for them .... Deep enough and not sharp edged substrate .... BTW ... Welcome to the forum and enjoy the journey ....

Will not be getting a protein skimmer cause it costs a arm and a leg and the only ones we have available are those boyu skimmers and I have heard people completely not satisfied with them so I'm simply not getting one.I have read that a protein skimmer is not needed so instead of that I will just be doing a 10 to 20 pecent water change every week ;)
