    lol, i must admit i do run skimmers, but i liked how he understood that youhave to run the tank differently with regards to additives etc when not using a skimmer

    I'd like to try that, maybe after I've moved my tanks to the fishroom but would like to do more reading first. I have read somewhere not so long ago if one uses miracle mud either in sump or tank, a skimmer is not needed. I saw something on you tube here's the links,

    so ironic, my skimers just packed up with a snail in the pump, so im skimerless at the moment:p, although ill get that beautiful bubble machine going again:)

    I still say it comes back to the aquarist and maintenance as I've seen amazing systems each with different filtration, from DSB's, skimmers, no skimmers to only live rock and water changes.
