Ok guys, I am getting the mooring now. Just wanted to get some tips and secrets into the whole filter sock cleaning regime. What is yours that is quick and efficient to cleaning them. The R160 bubble magus sock lasts me about a week then it's in the kitchen sink for the cleaning and scrubbing routine. However the period between new sock to after maybe 4 uses comes down to only lasting about 3 days, and they damn expensive to keep replacing them. What's your secret to cleaning

I take mine out, turn it inside out and give it a rinse with the hose pipe.

After that I but it in bleach and leave it for a day...

Then just a good rinse and leave it to dry...

Are those fine enough.. Think the filter socks I use are 100micron.. Surely the pool gobbler is no where near that?

Washing machine with no detergent. Then a good rinse after to be safe. Good as new for me.

Yeah...pool golbler socks are useless...only catch big stuff...the fine stuff still makes its way through. The reef octo socks are awesome...79bucks for three with a free holder ring...

I find the nylon bags last longer and clean easier. They are more expensive than the material ones but so much easier. I have some filter matting on top of my filter sock chamber to catch the big stuff first. That way the socks need leas cleaning. The filter matting is also much cheaper and easier to replace.

Or just but unscented batting and make your own disposable filter socks. R60 has lasted me months.
