    Hi
Dad had a goldfish tank, hated the green water!!!

One Yard Two Houses. The garage became his living room and kitchen a year ago.
Started 2 months back building new additions to it and we decided to build a tank in the wall with 2 viewable sides, one in BBQ room that doesn't even have a braai in, is completed and one side from the garage where the maintenance will be done. Still a lot to do and to complete the new additions.

    Here goes:p

    DT
Size, 105cmLx61cmHx73cmW (61 is the water level)
    Build with 10mm glass
    Bottom plate with braces
    and top with rim
    Total volume 446L

    Bought the MH unit 150W 20,000K and 2 39W 10,000K T5's with moon lights
    Unit is 90cm long
Ordered 14,000K 150W bulb and 2x T5 blue's to change the bulbs (wrong or right:wave2:)
Currently the unit is on top of the holding tank about 10cm from water level. tank is 60cm high water level about 50cm
First problem or not but it seems so to me is the light is not enough for me, I think 6 T5's will give more light than the MH unit, not sure (advice please :wave2:)
Then the tank is 73cm wide and loose about 24cm on the front side with the wall above it and light unit will be behind the wall, think there will not be enough light in front (help needed:wave2:)
There is going to be a feeding pipe in the frame work under the wall to feed fish and I can not install a T5 light there.

Then I wanted to take pics but camera battery is flat, charging as I write this, so pictures will be up loaded shortly:p

Please guys if you see :)wave2:) help me on that.
    Thanks

    Nothing wrong with that. :)
A single MH will only cover 60cm's of tank, you have 105cm's so ideally you need 2 metal halides for full coverage. You could make up extra light by using white T5's instead of blue T5's but I think you will still not have sufficient light at either end of the tank.
Not quite sure what you mean here but I think your best option would be to use 6 or 8 T5's.

This is going to be the feeding switch that's connected to a 20min cut off delay, so never have to worry " did I switch on the pumps before a left quickly after receiving phone call:p"

Absolutely fantastic... Any plans to seal the bare concrete around the tank with a finish/varnish or something? Is this necessary?

Very nice xtreme. Being in Swakopmund, how easily are equipment and LS available to you? And how are the prices?
