Hi guys, don't know if it already exist somewhere on the forum but how about starting a thread listing all the common pests in a reeftank? I would love to get some more info around some pests as well as seeing pics of what they look like. The idea is that members will post pics and add info of species they found to be pests I will post a few pics I posted in another thread, mods please feel free to elaborate on each species.

A Beautiful place!
Bristle worms are not pests, they only get out of hand when you feed too much, otherwise they're good scavengers ;)
Think about it this way: if you have a nice big mature tank with corals and live rock everywhere and a fish dies for some reason, it is these guys that makes it dissappear instead of you needing to take the tank apart to get it out :)
If it wasn't for them, there would be rotting stuff all over the place.

Here's one of the worst pests i've encountered, nasty little creature, but not much in the way of sting;-

Whao, Mike how could you let anything like that come near your tank? How are your corals doing since you discovered THAT, any fish missing?

Yeah you're right Tobes not exactly a pest, more something to watch out for when having your hands in the tank(after touching one you would swear them to be a pest;))! Same with the Mantis and the Nudi's, not exactly a pest and would look stunning in a species tank but considered a pest in a reef!
