try dosing some stability. it helps establish the reef biofilter. also found that seachem PRIME works very well with the combat of nitrites and nitrates. using both is safe and actually better. im using it at the moment. not having any problems:yeahdude:

hey viskop, welcome to masa its great to have you join:)

getting the right lightning can be so difficult these days, personally id suggest getting some t5 tubes (around 4-6 54W T5's) would do great for lighting that tank though. Just try get reflectors too as this greatly improves the light penetration into the water which is where you will want it when you start adding corals. And you will add corals believe me:)

just a note on your fish selection. its great to go with a FOWLR system until you can get enough LR and lights up and going. BUT you MUST research each fish you add and when to add them as there are two things in that tank i wouldn't call reef safe. That chock chip star fish can be predatory (although i kept mine well fed when i had it and he was a model citizen) and that butterfly is very likely to eat a number of corals and clams when you start to add them. You may be lucky, but id be very every surprised.

You will need a good deal more LR to get the filtration up, but in the mean time you could add some orca bio cubes into the sump to increase the biological filtration for the fish you already have.I wouldn't suggest adding too much more live stock to that tank until you have the filtration better established.
