My mate called me sunday morning and told me he thinks he has just seen a Gem Tang. i was suprised, to say the least, but believed him. he told me he couldnt see the dots but was black and had a yellow tail. the 45min drive out to him took around 30min.. in a Fiat Uno!

Once i got there he showed me the hole the fish was in.. it was in a 50cm deep and in a bucket type of whole. it took me less than 5 sec to catch. he is now in my mates tank and is looking good.

He is around 5-6cm in diameter. and a bit tattered. we are now in winter so it is kinda rare to even see it. we thought this fish was a myth! we now the myth is happily swimming in our glass box!

He is now eating flake and his colours are so dark! beautiful.

I know I cant pay you for the fish, but how about paying you for your services and I get the fish as a bonus?

I know this fish wont be sold but if I pay you to catch me another one. Technically it isn't illegal as I'm not paying for the fish but rather for your services.

Good catch, but I have slight doubt it may not be a Gem, hope I'm wrong!
