Blue Harbor's blog just posted some photos of the rare and drop-dead gorgeous Tosanoides flavofasciatus. T.flavofasciatus are found in the Izu region of central Japan at depths greater then 50 meters (160 feet). This is more of a subtropical species, but its beauty rivals or exceeds any tropical fish. T.flavofasciatus are indescribably colorful - almost to the point of glowing (like Caribbean Liopropoma carmabi basslets).
